Thank you local voters! The home rule initiative Palm Beach County Question ballot amendment (aka "LET US VOTE"), passed by a three-to-one margin (74%) in the November 2008 General Election. Your vote leveled the intergovernmental "playing field" helping to assure that future countywide initiatives are fully vetted and involve all the pertinent stakeholders. You have preserved your rights to have a say in matters that impact you. New opportunities for transit in eastern Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade Counties will be discussed at a Kick-off Meeting held near you. The public is invited to learn more about the South Florida East Coast Corridor Transit Analysis Study and offer comments and opinions. The study is considering options for transit along the FEC Railway stretching from Jupiter in northern Palm Beach County to Miami and is being conducted by the Florida Department of Transportation.
