March Meeting Recap 2016

We thank the City of Greenacres hosting the League meetings at the Greenacres Community Center.

Board Meeting The board voted no objection to the county's Trespass Ordinance and the Vehicle for Hire Ordinance.

President Pardo informed the board of the 2016-2017 proposed slate of officiers and board members. (The proposed slate can be found at www.leagueofcities.com/AboutUs/board).

The board also heard a committee reports from the Ocean to Lake Trail Committee, NLC Community & Economic

Intergovernmental Affairs Committee.

General Membership Greenacres Mayor Sam Ferreri welcomed the membership to Greenacres.

The 2016 William A. Cruickshank Scholarship awards were presented to five high school students.

Our featured speaker was Scott Dudley, FLC Legislative Director, who provided the membship with a Legislative Wrap-up.

League Counsel Jennifer Ashton updated us on pertinent legal issues (for full report go to our News:Meeting Notes page).

Executive Director Richard Radcliffe reminded everyone to rsvp for the Elected Officials Workshop, which will follow the April General Membership.

Next month the meetings will be at the Riviera Beach Marina Newcomb Hall.
